PESHAWAR, Dec 21. Chief Executive of Sunni Supreme Council (SSP), Muhammad Javed Ibrahim Paracha threatened for shutter down and wheel jammed strike against conversion a residential house into Imam Baragah in KDA Kohat.

Muhammad Javed Ibrahim Paracha, who is a chairman of World Prisoners Relief Commission (WPRC) stated this during a news conference, at press club here on Monday. He said Nizar Husssain belonged to Shiites’ sect, had purchased a house at Kohat Development Authority (KDA) which he added he (Nazar) tried to convert that into imam baragah in 1999.

            He said there was a tussle between Sunni and Shia in the town as only 20 families of Shiites among 900 Sunni families were living in KDA, but on the interference of the area community, Nazar Husssain had given written agreement to administration for using the house for residential purposes.

            The written agreement, he said in presence of (KDA) community president Professor Hahid Aliyas, Sultan general secretary including Asmatullah Afridi and Ahmad Ibrahim Paracha the owner of house Nazar Hussain had signed the agreement.

            Paracha further said Nazar Hussain had moved the court, before the current Moharram-ul-Harram (MH) and the court, he added without summoning the opponent community members, ordered the KDA Project Director to open the Imam baragah for Shiites’ rituals.

            “Shiites have recorded a false statement in the court that the resident house was an Imam baragah,” he accused Nazar. He said they had also filed a petition against the decision in Peshawar High Court (PHC).

            The chairman WPRC, Ibrahim Paracha warned that they would observe a complete shutter down and wheel jammed strike on December 23 to condemn the decision in favour of Shia sect, while on 10th Muharram (28th December), a protesting conference would be held in Jama-e-Masjid KDA against Imam baragah.

            He also explained that if the court gave decision in favour of the written agreement, all the protest conference and shutter down and wheel jammed strike in district would be ended.
