The distance between Karachi and Mumbai is 500 nautical miles. The coast from end of the disputed maritime Pakistan-Indian boundary is littered with coastal cities, ports, fishing zones, off shore oil installation, Fixed Indian Naval radars, aerial and ship based radars and an active blue water force. Not to mention couple of ports in between Karachi and Mumbai with each port having its rules for ships entering and leaving the ports.

How could a slow moving hijacked trawler move undetected from all of this and reach Mumbai and then (being hijacked) be able to get permission to enter Bombay harbor.

Just does not add up. To top it off these guys knew the insides of their targets.

I think the media has shown how it can spin a news story add graphics, sound and fact of real tragedy behind it to give superficial affect of a bollywood movie.

According to news reports it was intercepted by a Navy Patrol but they were carrying fake ID's of Gujarat fishermens. So they were allowed to continue ...

The Indian Navy chief has today acknowledged that it was a lapse...

It all adds up completely fine.
They got into a ship more than half way, got down in a high sea and hijacked and Indian fishing vessel, and entered the Indian waters.
You may blame the Indian Navy, Coast guard for not doing their job. But the operation seems neat and clean.
Their strategy and plan was executed well. They were definitely trained in handling weapons and fighting with security forces.
Let us admit the findings are largely true. There may be dramatisation, but the fact remains.

i think what you fail to see is that hatred breeds hatred.

All you need to do is look around you and figure out why and resolve the issues the breeds this hatred. Till that time comes it will remain mayhem.
