Freedom Of Expression

I was astounded when i saw the following ad. It says, "We want the restoration of Khilafat" and under big title it says "to gid rid of the poverty hunger and other social ills".

I was astounded not because they had such a radical offering in the heart of Pakistans commercial capital but because the freedom of expression that these people enjoy in Pakistan. Would something like this be possible in US of A? or England?

Asking for Khilafat indirectly means that they are challenging the writ of the government. Had Pakistan been a one party state like say China these people would probably have been rounded up and shot.

But not only they enjoy their freedom they enjoy the freedom to advertise it.

The picture became more interesting as when i looked at it in detail there is a man with a no hands sitting on the side of the road who is probably a beggar.

After i had a good look at that man, my astonishment evolved into something more rational. May be what these people are asking is not that too odd a thing to ask. All they are  saying is we are fed up and we want positive change.
