After a faulty start in July of 2008, when MobilinkGSM Mobile Payment System AKA Genie forced to shutdown as a result of conflict with the State Bank of Pakistan the Genie has finally reappeared.

According to a press release issued in 2008 the aim of the Genie was to provide 92% "unbanked" Pakistani with the privilege of accessing a financial service.

I just saw the Geine ad day before yesterday. The crux of the ad was in English at the end which explained how to register and use the service

 The service will provide Moblink cell service users with the ability to paytheir bilsl from mobiles phones. A number of banks have linked with the venture to provid the funds settlement.

Mobilink is backed by ORASCOM Telecom a powerful multinational.

Mobilink Genie will definitely help break many old and strong idols of bureaucracy and improve quality of life for its users.
